Fun Fact: Actor Elijah Wood (Frodo Baggins) kept one of the duplicates of the One ring as a soujenir.
Movie incongruency: In Fellowship of the Ring, during the scene on the bridge of kazad dum, Gandalf drops his sword on the bridge when he is pulled into the shadow by the Balrog. However, in The Two Towers, The sword falls directly beneath him and he catches up to it and later slays the Balrog. My question is, how the hell did Gandalf get the sword? Even if it slid off the bridge, it would be several feet away from where he fell... and you can't swim through air!!!!
Fun Fact: during the filming of the movie, actor John Rhys-Davies suffered a severe allergic reaction to the foam latex used around his eyes to play his character Gimli.
Fun Fact: While filming a take of the scene on the buckleberry ferry, actor Dominic Monaghan got a splinter through his foot while jumping over the wooden fence.
